It was an awesome night under the new lights. The season is finally underway! Thanks to all who came out. Play was pretty dang good for a week 1. A lot of pushing and shoving on the line (which we like). Some nice bruises on Larry and Al. There was a field full of great players! New fellas Jim and Brent deserve an honorable mension, Al played a mean safety, FrankT and MattB led the way playing some good QBing, Stas and JOeJoe with the speed, Eric and Matt, Vic, Jarrod, Larry, Steve, all played great ball. Everyone is pretty equal, It was hard to find any mis-matches, noOne to pick on... I donno, that's just what I thought all night long. It was a grinding game. Close all the way.
But clearly it was Al was the MVP for week 1! He was tough at safety, got a couple TDs on extra yards, batted some balls down on D, and he was like a bull on the line. A great all-around night. FINAL SCORE 11-9 |
